Thank you for reviewing the information on our consultation page.

We would love to meet you and your dog, introduce them to our pack and see if we might be a good fit! Please fill in the Consultation form below so we can learn more about to let us you and your dog(s). Once we review your submission we will invite you to schedule a visit!

Please be aware that our daycare is currently fully booked on Tuesdays, Wednesday and Thursdays. The others days are a great place to start especially Saturday and Sunday if your dog is new to a daycare environment or you are looking for socialization!

There is a non-refundable $50 fee to book a consultation.

Reminder: Dogs MUST be spayed/neutered after six months of age.
If you plan to wait longer than 6 months, please wait to schedule a visit with us.

What to expect when you visit:

First, we will meet with you and your pet upstairs in our consultation room where we will get to know each other, review your submission and answer any questions you have about us!

Next, we will bring your dog to the front yard and slowly introduce them to the pack. We invite you to watch the whole introduction at our observation window. This is a wonderful way for you to see how your dog does meeting new friends and sniffing a new environment.

If the initial introduction looks good, an invitation will be extended for your dog to stay 1-2 hours so they can get a more comfortable and spend more time getting to know their new friends.

If your dog is not entirely comfortable, maybe just a bit shy or bit nervous, we will extend an invitation to schedule a "retrial" visit so they come back knowing the environment and reassess.

If your dog is not a fit we will likely both agree! (That is why we love having the observation window. You can see the behavior all along with us.)

What qualifies as "not a good fit?" Lunging, bearing teeth, tail between their legs, shaking, staying close, anxiety meeting new dogs.

All dogs that attend Pet Companions are monitored on-going for comfort, fit and most importantly, safety for all. We keep track of behaviors and will share with you any concerns we see with your dog in our cage-free open environment. We will share observations, what we have done to help and recommendations.

It is not unusual for a dogs temperament to change over time or during transitional periods at home ~ for many they become even more relaxed. For others, they may become more excitable. It is OK to take time away from Pet Companions, focus on training, and then come back for a retrial or reintroduction.

Positive behavior is required to make it safe for a cage-free environment. Thank you for understanding and supporting us to put safety first for everyone.
