Dog people build real communities. We made this so yours can grow.
To be Greater Boston's most trusted force for good in dog care. Where every dog is known, every family feels part of the community, and we all genuinely thrive.
Pet Companions Bed & Biscuit is your dog's home away from home and one of your family's most trusted partners. Whether it's a regular Tuesday, a family vacation, or an unexpected emergency, you never have to wonder if your dog is in the right hands.
Leaving should never feel like leaving behind.
We built this guide because we know this community. We walk these trails with our dogs. We know which cafΓ©s actually welcome pups and which groomer is worth the drive. This is the guide we wish someone had handed us on day one.
We built the program around what dogs actually need. Not supervision. Enrichment.
Your dog spends the day with people who know their name, their friendships, and their mood that morning. Play, enrichment, and rest. Balanced. On purpose.
Our team sleeps with the dogs. No cages overnight. Your dog follows their routine and comes home rested. You come home to a dog who had their own vacation.
Before your dog joins the community, we take the time to actually know them. Personality, social style, triggers, preferences. It's an act of curiosity and care. All dogs start here.
Every month, a brand-new adventure. A full storyline, a theme, a cast of canine heroes. Exclusive to enrolled dogs. Ask us about the current chapter.
We bring the same care we deliver at The Biscuit right to your door. Feeding, walks, yard clean-up, and check-ins on your dog's terms.
Baths, brush-outs, nails, coat care. Open to the community. You don't need to be a daycare client to book.
We run fecal tests in-house so results come back fast and your dog's records stay current. Required every six months for all dogs in our care.

Things we wish someone had told us. From the PCBB team.
Give your new dog one quiet space that is theirs. A crate or a bed in a low-traffic corner. Limit visitors in the first week. Dogs settle faster when the world feels predictable.
Same time, every day. If you're switching food, do it over 7 to 10 days or you'll know immediately why that matters. Ask your vet about portion size early. It varies more than you'd think.
A tired dog is a happy dog. Most need 30 to 60 minutes a day. Mix it up. A sniff walk or a puzzle feeder works the brain just as hard as a run. Harder, sometimes.
Schedule a wellness exam in the first week. Year-round flea, tick, and heartworm prevention. Annual checkups. Ask about dental cleanings before you think you need to. You'll thank yourself later.
Every positive experience your dog has early makes the next one easier. Structured daycare is one of the best socialization tools available. Dogs learn from other dogs in ways we simply can't replicate.
Brush regularly. Nails every four to six weeks. Ears monthly, teeth weekly. The earlier you start, the easier it stays. Make it positive from day one and it never becomes a battle.
Sit, stay, come, leave it, loose-leash walking. Start there. Positive reinforcement only. Keep sessions short, five to ten minutes, and always end on a win. Always.
Yawning, lip-licking, whale eye, tucked tail, ears back, excessive panting. These are not quirks. They are communication. If you see them regularly, talk to a trainer or behaviorist early. Early always wins.
Before the first overnight, come in for a few daycare visits. Let the space feel familiar before it's nighttime and you're not there. Bring something that smells like home. Make sure vaccinations are current.
Not managed. Known. The Discovery Program is where we start. We learn your dog before they join the community. It takes a little time and it matters a lot.
