Who We Are
Pet Companions Bed & Biscuit is a premium, cage-free daycare, boarding, and enrichment facility in Reading, MA where the standard is high, the team is tight, and the dogs — and the people who love them — feel it every single day.
We're not a drop-off facility — we're a community. The Guest Experience Specialist is often the first, and sometimes the only, person a family talks to before trusting us with the dog they love. That first impression sets the tone for everything that follows.
You're the first smile pet parents see at drop-off, and the calm, confident voice they hear when they call with a question. Whether a family feels like they made the right choice starts with you.
That's not a small thing. It's the whole thing.
The Role
You'll welcome every dog and every family by name, run quick and accurate check-ins and check-outs, and recommend the add-on services — grooming, walks, Adventure Club, enrichment — that genuinely fit each dog. You'll also plan and lead our daily enrichment activities, so this isn't a seated, transactional front-desk job. You're on your feet, in the mix, and part of what makes each dog's day actually good.
This role also carries a real sales component: you'll work toward weekly service-sales goals and earn a bonus on top of your base pay when you hit them. The best Guest Experience Specialists don't treat that as a quota to survive — they treat it as making sure every dog gets the services that actually help them.
What a great day looks like
On a good day, you've greeted every family with a real hello, caught a service that would genuinely help a dog and booked it, and led an enrichment activity the dogs loved. On a hard day — a late drop-off rush, a scheduling snag — you stay calm, work through it, and keep the front desk feeling unhurried anyway.
That's the standard. That's the job.Is This You?
We mean this kindly. This role has real expectations and a team counting on you. We'd rather be honest upfront than waste your time or ours.
