Five Big Wins

Our Five Big Wins for the last 90 days:

Growth, Community, and a Visit from Friends Around the Globe

The first quarter of 2026 has been an exciting and meaningful one for The Biscuit. From strengthening programs to expanding community connections and investing in the team, this season has set a strong foundation for the months ahead, and we’re excited to share these milestones with you.

One of the highlights of the quarter was spending two incredible days with coach Dom Hodgson as part of the Dog Daycare Success Academy (DDSA). DDSA is a mastermind community that connects dog daycare and boarding facility owners from around the world, all working toward the shared goal of providing exceptional care for dogs.

This month’s session was especially memorable as it was hosted right here in Boston. The Biscuit even had the opportunity to welcome fellow dog care professionals from Texas, North Carolina, Nevada, New Jersey, California, Indiana, and even the United Kingdom for a behind-the-scenes tour. It was an inspiring experience to connect, exchange ideas, and learn from others who share the same passion and commitment to excellence in pet care. Experiences like this highlight the value of community and collaboration in continued growth.

Our Five Wins - Last 90 Days

  1. Launched the Discovery Program for New Clients

Every great pack has a process for welcoming someone new — and now, so do we. Pet Companions Bed & Biscuit officially launched our Discovery Program, a structured induction experience where we spend several days truly getting to know a dog before they are invited to join the pack.

This isn't just an orientation — it's the foundation of everything we believe in. Each team member spends time with the dog getting to know what they like, how they play, even where they like to be pet. We spend time going through the five pillars of enrichment. And we slowly introduce them to new friends.

Every dog deserves to feel safe, understood, and set up for success from day one. The Discovery Program makes that possible, and we couldn't be more proud of how it's already transforming the new client experience.

  1. Successfully Rolled Out the Monthly Adventure Club

This one has been pure joy to watch come to life. The Adventure Club is officially up and running, and the dogs — and their families — are loving it.

Each month, our pack sets off on a curated adventure with a theme all its own: Around the World in 28 Sniffs, Indian Bones, Under the Sea— the creativity here is endless. Every adventure weaves together agility, scent work, puzzles, and one-on-one play time, all anchored around the monthly story. And the best part? We share the adventure as it unfolds so the whole Pet Companions community can follow along.

Enrichment, connection, and a whole lot of fun. This is exactly the kind of program we always dreamed of offering. 🌍🐾

  1. Digitized All SOPs and the Employee Handbook

Okay, this one might not sound like the most glamorous win but trust me, it is.

Every Standard Operating Procedure and our full Employee Handbook are now digitized and living in Notion, accessible to every team member, anywhere, anytime. No more digging through binders or chasing down answers. If there's an operational question, Notion has the answer, instantly.

These aren't just documents. They represent the standards, the culture, and the care that define Pet Companions. Having them formalized, organized, and integrated into our training program is a huge step forward for consistency, accountability, and the long-term growth of this business. We did it. 🎉

  1. Welcomed New Team Members

As the busy summer season approaches, The Biscuit has welcomed several new team members and we couldn't be more excited about the people joining our pack.

Each new team member was chosen not just for their experience, but for who they are: the way they move around dogs, the way they show up for each other, and the genuine warmth they bring. Building a team you truly trust isn't easy, and it doesn't happen by accident. It's the result of being intentional about culture, standards, and the kind of environment we're all committed to creating here. We can't wait for you to meet them. 🐶

  1. Family Vacation in San Francisco

This one is personal — and it might just be my favorite win of all.

Erik and I spent over a week out west, and for the first time in two and a half years, I wasn't traveling for work. As Jess recently reminded me, pretty much every trip I've taken since launching Pet Companions has had a business purpose behind it. This time? It was purely for us.

And here's why it counts as a big win: I didn't worry for a single moment. Not once. The team, the processes, the programs we've built — they all showed up exactly as they were designed to. Pet Companions was in great hands, and I knew it before we even boarded the plane.

We drove through Carmel and Big Sur, hiked at Mount Tam, ate pizza in North Beach, and ended an evening or two with ice cream on Fillmore under the stars. It was exactly the reset our family needed — and the clearest proof yet that what we've built here is truly working. 💚

The Biscuit is incredibly grateful for the continued support from clients, the dedication of the team, and the connections within the wider dog care community. A special thank you to Dom Hodgson and @thepetbizwiz for their guidance, and to the DDSA community for making this gathering so memorable.

Here’s to continued growth, stronger connections, and more wins ahead in 2026! 🐾
